  • We ensure that your donations go directly toward patient care, medical supplies, community health, and hospital improvements, with minimal administrative costs. • Yes. Friends of Kapsowar is a registered nonprofit in the state of Arizona, and our federal 501(c)(3) application is currently pending with the IRS. While we are not yet listed in the IRS database, donations made this year are considered tax-deductible in good faith, as processing new organizations with the IRS typically takes around 10 months. You will receive a receipt for your contribution that you can use for tax purposes.

However, since our 501(c)(3) application is still pending with the IRS under our new registration, Friends of Kapsowar will not appear in the IRS database of eligible organizations until approximately February 2026. This database listing is required for most DAF sponsors to send grants directly.

In the meantime, you can still support our work through our trusted U.S. partner organization, Africa Mission Healthcare (AMH), which is fully recognized as a 501(c)(3). AMH can process your DAF gift on our behalf and ensure it goes directly to supporting Kapsowar Mission Hospital.
