Old shipping containers at Kapsowar Mission Hospital have been transformed into a new Maternal & Child Health clinic serving thousands of mothers and children each year. With less than $12,000, donor generosity helped equip the new space for prenatal care, well-child visits, immunizations, and nutrition services—with enough left over to renovate a much-needed workspace for our medical team. Kathy thought she was coming to Kapsowar to use her skills as a nurse. Instead, she discovered that God had been preparing her for something she never expected. Years later, that simple “yes” has helped countless others discover that they have something valuable to offer, too.

The hospital kitchen may not be the first place you think of when you imagine healthcare—but every day, it nourishes more than 130 patients and over 100 staff. After more than 75 years of cooking over open fires, a new kitchen is under construction that will quietly transform patient care for generations to come.

Crowds gathered, gifts were announced one by one, and hope filled the room. In a true Kenyan harambee, our community rallied behind Kapsowar Mission Hospital—and the results surpassed every expectation.

We’ve officially broken ground on a major project in partnership with Samaritan’s Purse—bringing 48 new homes and a community center to Kapsowar. This new space will help us welcome more doctors and families while supporting the long-term growth of our hospital and mission.
