Comfort and Care—One Bed at a Time
At first glance, a delivery bed or a baby cot might not seem like life-changing equipment.
But when you’re standing in a rural maternity ward, supporting a mother through the most vulnerable, powerful moment of her life—every detail matters.
Thanks to the incredible support of Heritage Church, our hospital was able to take a big step forward in how we care for both mothers and babies. Their generosity enabled us to purchase three brand-new delivery beds, ten baby cots, and new hospital lines for our entire hospital.
Our old delivery beds were worn out and hard to use after years of use. The bottom part, which needs to move during birth to help doctors safely deliver babies and care for moms, had rusted and stopped working properly. Sometimes it had to be kicked into place—and then couldn’t get it back out. It made deliveries harder and less safe, so we knew it was time for new ones.
Our three new delivery beds are sturdy, comfortable, and designed to support a safe, more respectful birthing experience. For the 1,750 mothers who deliver at our hospital each year—an average of five births every single day—that makes an enormous difference.

Our ten new baby cots have given our new, fragile babies a safe space to rest in our newborn unit, instead of being bundled in improvised bedding or sharing overcrowded surfaces. It’s a small change that carries so much love.
But Heritage Church didn’t stop there.
They also helped us procure 300 full sets of hospital linens—bedcovers, bedsheets, and blankets. Clean, comfortable bedding may seem like a simple thing, but in a hospital setting, it’s a cornerstone of care. Every patient now has access to fresh linens, which doesn’t just improve comfort—it plays a critical role in hygiene and infection control. Fewer bacteria. Fewer skin irritations. A better environment to heal, both physically and emotionally.
Our new hospital linens provide a more hygenic and comfortable stay for our patients.

And they’ve been made possible because someone chose to care. Because a church community saw the value in supporting real people with real needs. Not just in theory, but in practice.
So from all of us—mothers, babies, doctors, nurses, and every grateful heart in between—thank you, Heritage Church.
